As over fishing becomes more and more prominent in New England, the American Lobster population has been on the steady decrease. The rise in population illustrated in the graph below is due to a law that limited the amount of lobster fishermen were able to haul in, as well as the minimum weight of the lobsters that could be kept and sold.
